Avid Mountain Bike Hydraulic Brakes
will the avid juicy 3 hydraulic disc brakes fit a kona shred 09?
im thinking about getting a pair of avid juicy 3 hydraulic disc brakes for my b-day but i don’t know if they will fit my kona shred 09 mountain bike, i mainly need to know the rotor size because then i can compare it to my current ones.

This will depend on a couple of things. I assume from what you said that you have disc hubs. You need to check that they have the same bolt/spline pattern as the Juicy 3 brakes. Shimano spline and international standard (6 bolt) are the most common types, but aren’t compatible with each other. (Confusingly there are some shimano 6-bolt hubs out there!)
Next you need to check that you frame and forks have disc brake mounts of the right type. I think from what I can see online you probably won’t have a problem here but you should check. Avids will fit post mount directly at the front, and international standard at front or rear with the included adapter. Some older mounts won’t fit.
