Cleaning Mountain Bike Rotors
Help my mountain bike disk brakes rumble?
hoping somone can help, i have hayes sole disk brakes. they have performed well all summer. all of the sudden out of the blue the rear brake stared making a rumbling sound every time i get on them. i checked &cleaned the pads there is still plenty of pad left. i tried re aligning the caliper. didnt work. it almost sounds like the pad edge is catching on the rotor slots. any one have this problem? anyone know the fix?
I had this problem, I replaced the pads and it didn’t help. Took it to the bike shop and they said I bent the rotor. They replaced it, problem solved.
