What are the names of some equipment on a bicycle? I do not understand when people talk about speed speed strength and effort. What a mountain bike? Basically, what a speed of 10? What do these numbers on a bike? Not a single site seems to give me a simple definition. On the contrary, are based on the assumption that I know how bicycle gears work. I do not understand the increase down.
A 10 speed bike with two rods speeds plateau, gears and sprockets on the shaft 5 of rear wheel. 2 x speed 5-speed front rear = 10 combinations possible speed (speed). Most mountain bikes are now or 21 speeds (3 forward speeds x 7 speed rear) or 24 speeds (3 speeds forward front rear x 8 speed). Hope this helps.
