Downhill Mountain Biking Fort William
Is it possible to hire downhill/freeride bikes at Fort William?
Me and my family are heading to the west coast of Scotland this summer and we are really keen mountain bikers. Do any of the bike shops in Fort William rent out descent downhill/freeride bikes? And if so, what bikes could we expect to obtain?
Yes you can. There’s a few different shops that will rent bikes out and they carry a bit of a range. That said, Fort Bill is really some burly terrain so I’d recommend you go for a full-on downhill ride and bring your full kit as well.

Also, just FYI, when you search around online… search for “Downhill at Nevis Range”. Fort William is actually just the name of the WC race there in Lochaber.
