Downhill Mountain Biking Gear
How do you use the gears on a 1999 Conquest Concept Mountain Bike.?
What I need to know is how to change gear for going uphill, downhill, fast, slow, flat ground, terrain, mud etc. If you can believe I’ve had this bike for 12 years and still don’t know how to use the gears you can see I need help. I want to cycle all the time everywhere. I cannot find any instructions or manuals online for my bike in fact I can’t even remember how many gears it has.
That was going to be my question to you…how many gears? Look on the handlebar. There should be a shifter on the right side & left side. The left side controls the front chainring or gears. The right side controls the rear. To simplify things, simply view the video I’m linking below. Watch it several times if need be.
