Downhill Mountain Biking Seat Height
Most Cyclists Appreciate The Lightweight Bike
Buying mountain bike was a decision made after a summer of biking. When the young couple rode almost every weekend, they wanted light weight, easy pedaling and a padded seat for comfort. Those long trails could be a challenge, why not enjoy them more than they did on their heavier bikes?
As recreational riders, they were not concerned about racing, but light weight bikes were still better. As they rode at a leisurely pace, they got a moderate cardio workout without doing it on a treadmill inside the house. A warm, but not hot day was the perfect day to get out on the trail. It was 65, the perfect weather for a ride.
Jeana was a recreational rider. Important to her was having a matching bike color and helmet color. Her outfit might be a pair of pearl izumi shorts and a matching t-shirt. Sun block protected her skin from sunburn. She wanted to look good, have fun and still not do any sun damage to her skin. The cardio factor wasn’t her primary reason for riding.
She remembered the day she first rode on a trail with an incline. It didn’t look challenging at first. It moved up slowly. Then after awhile, her legs started to feel the strain. She was soon sweating under her bike helmet and felt her hands slippery on the handlebars. They finally stopped under a shade tree.
Her water bottle provided still-cool refreshment. Later in the day the water would be tepid, however, still better than nothing to keep her hydrated. Everyone sat in the shade drinking and chatting for about ten minutes.
It was time to continue. These mountain bikes were the best things they had ever invested in. Every time they talked about it, she and John wondered why they waited so long to get rid of those old, heavy bikes. They had been so hard to go uphill on.
They took good care of these fantastic new diamondback bikes. When they got home they would get out the hose and wash them. The money spent was a good investment in fun, they decided. Putting their sweaty helmets back on, they journeyed up the hill.
The sounds along the way were of birds singing and little animals scattering up and down trees. The squirrels seemed to watch them as they rode by. Now they had almost reached the top of what they liked to call a mountain. It was a little joke between them since it was really just a rather high hill. Still, the view from the top was very pleasant. They sat under another shade tree, sipped half-warm water and talked about how soon they should eat the nutrition bars they had in their pockets.
