Downhill Mountain Biking Shocks
What size spring should I have for a rear shock on my mountain bike if I am 6’1″ and 225 lbs?
I am buying a FOX DHX 5.0 (8.75×2.75) rear shock for my freeride/downhill mountain bike, but it does not come with a spring. Considering that I weigh 225 lbs, what size spring would work best for my size? 500lb, 550lb, 600lbs? Also, will my spring off of a 5th element shock work with a fox dhx? I am still decently new to the sport.
