Giant Mountain Bike Company
Trek, Mongoose, GT, Apollo, DiamondBack, Giant or Haro for a $500-$650 hardtail, disc brake Mountain Bike?
These companies all have these specific requirements in the range of 500-650. I guess i am unfamiliar with the brands. Are any of these worth staying clear of? At the moment i am leaning towards a Trek 3900Disc, Giant Boulder Disc, or Mongoose Tyax Elite.
If it were me I would go woth Diamondback (or Raleigh). On balance, Diamondback usually has 1 level better components than the others that you prefer for the same money. Again, if it were me, I would count out Trek (not a very good value) even though it has a generally good reputation.
I’ve sold all these bikes and Diamondback almost always beats them in comparison.
