How to read a Giant bike’s serial number?
I have a Giant Boulder SE mountain bike. I think I have found the serial number, on a white sticker beneath the lower tube, right by the cranks. It says… F/N: C17L1699. How do I read this? I’ve seen online that some combination of the letters and numbers mean the month and year of manufacturer. I’m also just guessing this is the serial number, I don’t see anything else that looks like one.

Yes that is the frame number, contact Giant to find out when it was made. You can also try bikepedia.
