Walking around Sospel in the Maritime Alps of France Vallon-demand to walk

Same if you're not a fan of dedicated hiking and trekking, France remains one of the best countries to experience a comprehensive and large walk for many it being on top of all the tours the European market. However, walking in some areas of France are better than others.

One of the best places to walk in the Maritime Alps. There are beautiful landscapes, the warmth of welcome to the good weather, good food, and of course delicious wine. All of them on their own would be reason enough to visit, but when you come together as a package, makes it a good rest in an unforgettable experience for years.

One of the best places to stay in the charming village of Sospel. It is a favorite for hikers, mountain bikers and people who simply love being on the field because it has everything you need.

Sospel is at the heart of the mountain and from there you can access more than a thousand miles of testing walking, hiking and biking to suit most levels of walkers, hikers and cyclists. The people of Sospel himself several restaurants and bars to suit all tastes and budgets, and there are ten guest houses, hotels and hostels to stay.

It is relatively easy walk for an hour to 2 1 / 2 to 3 1 / 2 along the valley of the party Bevera and a small side valley to the south. Walking is a mixture of roads and trails through wooded areas and opening hours.

We left Villa Amiel, probably the best bed and breakfast in Sospel and eastward to cross the street in the Park of bananas, to the monument to the dead cooperative building resembles an old store. Passing between it and the transformer of 1,960 building opposite, follow the small road position more or less east in a few hundred meters begins to continue along the north side of the railway line towards the source.

There are some interesting houses in this way a sheep in the car to use and just plain weird – But soon left the most signs of civilization behind.

Continue along nearly a mile, then take a path that leads to right and is marked with a kennel complex, turn right. Follow the road to the right and cross the railway. Five minutes after crossing the railway, us at a "crossroads" where three roads converge, and our path leads us directly to the track of the UN fact-facing.

After spending doors complete with many large dogs barking, the trail continues for about half a mile and ends in a large doors. We left the track and take the road off-site right and continue on a tree-lined road that heads south now. Continuing along the road you notice that it begins to increase slightly, left the Bévéra valley and into a valley that leads to demand Vallone.

Next the road is quite obvious that soon pass a large rock … or two! And 20 to 25 minutes to exit track – a quaint old house and lot. Looking through the trees at this stage you get a great view into the valley of Bever. Leaving the house Slowly the door on the right track as it descends to the riverbed, according to the time of year you walkcan be full of water or empty!

There are large rocks in the riverbed, although the river is fairly complete, which is how many small streams in this region – is easily passable with care. However, this is a good place to sit and take a break or a picnic – as if we did, enjoying a break in beautiful picnic time to eat well, drink and talk funny.

After a good rest, we join a path on the other side of the river, which is in both directions, up and down the hill. We decided to climb the hill, as if adding an additional 40 minutes for this pleasant walk – the view of the ruins at the top is glorious.

After have had our fill of the views we retrace the way down and pass the crossing point on the river walk a little hollow and we noticed some mossy rocks unusual even in a drier climate appeared to be wet after about 400 meters, follow the path down the slope to the right. and the top and turn left into the title track vaguely north.

Keep to the track, turn left where the entrance to the farm joined the team and more Council later in the track right at the bottom left, but we follow the trail follows a higher route and therefore, offers beautiful views of the valley Sospel.

After about 20 minutes – not counting the time spent taking photos – we're walking along and on the south side of the railway line to down slowly to the bottom of the valley. Following the trail as it descends the line around a turn to the right rail and crossedthe turning west along was again a road that brings us back to the source, a small rural houses in the river Sospel.

Just before this small subdivision begins, turn left down the slope of the next track, always vaguely west – this time – under and north of the railway line. A half-hour after crossing the railroad tracks, we recognize the first part of the track you walked along a few hours before we headed to the store of cooperation and Sospel.

From there, it's just a short walk to the park and over the monument. to be greeted by a welcome drink awaits us when we the Villa Amiel. This has not been the hard way I've done, but it certainly was nice and we hope many more like him. You can see photos and maps for this walk in www.villaamiel.com site
