Interesting Topics Among The Professors
They strolled out of the lecture hall and down the path on campus. The two female professors talked on about the summer vacations they were planning. A student walked by and they remarked on how he must be spending time in the gym. They noticed muscle growth since the last time they saw him.
They change a lot in a year the professors agreed. They walked through the flowered campus past large trees. They had mostly decent kids on campus. The girls get a little too drunk sometimes. Outside of that things were pretty good.
Both female professors had seen their share of female students trying to hit on the male professors. Some did it sincerely hoping for a romance. Others did it in the hope of getting a better grade.
We might be called cougars if it happened to us they mused. Wondering if any boy would approach them they laughed a little. How they would handle it was impossible to predict.
Nodding hello to a girl riding by on an expensive schwinn mountain bike, both thought of what this spring weather meant. It meant spring fever, daydreaming during lectures and outdoor barbecue and beer parties. That’s what it meant to the students.
To the teachers, it meant preparing for exams and reading paper after paper. They related stories of students who had obviously purchased their term papers. Both had experienced that more than once in their careers.
They cannot believe the kids would try to pass off a paper written by a professional freelancer as their own. Spending $300 for a paper is nothing to some of them. They are losing out on a good education though.
There were usually a few arrests on campus in spring. Drinking goes on in the dorm rooms too. Some of them could care less about education. They mused about the loss for the students.
They went on to discuss the Emo kids and how they dyed their hair black. Then they dye a pink stripe down one side. Really strange they agreed. The boys wear so much eye make-up.
It is the Goths that scare me they thought. There are those who actually drink blood as wannabee vampires. They are so dark and fascinated with sadness. Sad for young people.
They talked about suicide until they reached their cars. They smiled and said have a good weekend. The brunette mentions the best golf instruction book she had bought last night. She hoped to read it before her first round of golf this season. They parted with a wave and got into their respective cars for the trip home.
