Mountain Bike Cross Country
Who makes the best hard tail cross country bike?
I am looking for a new mountain bike but am unsure who makes a better bike, Kona, Norco, or trek. I don’t want to spend over 1400$. Who should I go with?
One thing you want to look at is wheel base. A longer bike will give you a more compliant and comfortable ride, a shorter one will be more agile, but harsh. Look for a comprise. Get a bike with a medium wheel base, but a rear triangle that has bent seat stays. This will give good compliance, as well a good handling.
I raced a trek 8900 for a couple years and did well with it. Kona has a great reputation, but make sure your not getting one of their low end frames. I wouldn’t go with norco, but that’s just me.
