What is the top speed a bicycle can reach with a 48 cc motor conversion kit?
Im selling my car and im either going to get a 48cc motor conversion kit for a mountain bike or a scooter and then with the scooter ill get my motorcycle permit. the point of the motor conversion kit is A: its under 50cc so i dont need any licensing or registration or anything having to do with the DOL or the state and B: if it runs out of gas i can pedal and use it like a regular bike no problem. My dad isnt convinced. He thinks it isnt gonna be as good as getting a scooter, but another part of my argument is that scooters are more for girls, dudes who ride scooters look very…. feminine to me. But anyways i wanted to know what speed these things top out at.
You need to check your states regulations on the use of mopeds. Check the DOT or DMV.
