Mountain Bike Handlebars Width
What’s the standard length of bicycle handlebars?
I am trying to find out the length (from side to side) of handlebars on a bicycle. Does the length differ from a mountain bike to a road bike?
Also is there a standard width for handle bars as well? I read some where that it is 1″, than I read that more and more bikes are 1 1/2″ or better, can someone help?
There is no standard width or diameter. Different materials and manufacturers use different diameters. The width of the bars is related to the width of the rider and can vary substantially.
I find that mountain bars tend to be wider than road bars for the same size rider.
