Mountain Bike K2 Prices
Beginning mountain biker looking for a good bike. Diamonback or K2?
I am just starting to get into mountain biking. I am looking for a decent bike that isn’t crazy expense (hopefully between $400-$600). I’ve been looking at the diamondback recoil and I like the bike and price but I saw a K2 at the store and I also liked that bike. For a beginner looking for a good bike that would last, what is best?
I believe the Diamondback Recoil you are looking it is a cheap model sold on Amazon.com or other sites. It only sells for about $550 – $600. Yes, I used the word “only”. That’s pretty cheap & low end when it comes to full suspension bikes.
You would be better off taking that same money & looking at a good hardtail. You could get a MUCH better hardtail mountain bike for that same $550 – $600. I have nothing against Diamondback. In fact – I own an Insight RS performance hybrid.
