FS Mountain bike break-in?
After always buying used bikes, I just got a new Cannondale mountain bike. Despite not having a lot of air in the lefty fork and Fox RP23 shock, it seems to ride very stiffly. Do these items take a few rides to loosen up?
The break-in period for forks and shocks varies with the manufacture. Besides the suspension you’ll find the cables and breaks will need time to wear in all so. Don’t get to worried about fine tuning the damping settings for the first 10 or so hours, set them by the operators manual and enjoy your bike, then tweak as needed.
