what size motorcycle is best for me in the Honda Shadow or Suzuki Boulevard category?
Im 220lbs and 6’3″….i need to know what would be the best choice in a bike and size that would look good under me? Im just looking to cruise on this bike..in mountain areas, cities, and highways…..

I can tell you I weigh 220 myself but am 4 inches shorter than you. I have a Yamaha V Star 1100 Classic. It gets me around comfortably with plenty of power. You will definitely want highway pegs to stretch out on. This is my thought for you on selecting a bike. I recommend you buy as much of a motorcycle that you can. If you buy an 1100 or 1300, it won’t be long before you will want more power and carrying ability. For certain you will want a windshied and bags. I think you will be disappointed with a 750. It’s going to run hard on the highway, but it will run all day that way. It’s designed to do so. I’ll give you a few recommendations for selecting a bike. Look at the Yamaha Roadstar, Boulevard C90 and C109. Honda’s highest end is a 1300 brand new. You could find some VTX 1800′s for sale that are new and cheap. They just haven’t sold well and dealers are tired of paying interest on them while they set on their floor plan. Trust me when I say you want more than a 750 or 1100. You might also look into Kawasaki. They offer numerous engine sizes with plenty of options. I think their Nomad 1600 is on great motorcycle. Good luck on you search and selection. Take it from a guy who has a mid size bike. You’ll want more soon, and if you finance, you’ll be stuck paying for a bike that doesn’t fit the bill. Also keep in mind your budget. Get as much motorcycle as you can afford!
