Mountain Bike Rear Wheel
Where can i buy a cheap rear wheel for a mountain bike that doesn’t cost £50?
I could use the gear cranks from the older wheel as it works fine but is a little rusty, but probably would benefit a whole new rear wheel with gear cranks pre-fitted. really don’t care what it looks like i only use it for the exercise anyways.
You should really go to a proper cycle store, and see what they have, I bought one from Halfords once (it was an emergency, it was a sunday afternoon, and I needed it to cycle to work on the monday morning).
Before I fitted the wheel, I checked the bearings, and they were completely dry, and had no grease at all in them. Had I not stripped the hub down, and greased it, that wheel would have only lasted a few weeks.
Buy from a reputable store, and you’ll get a better wheel.
