slim tires for mountain bike?
currently i have a 26X1.95/26×1.75 rims and a 26×1.95 tires. i want to place slim slick tires on it for road use, can i use 1.5 tires on my rims? if not ill buy slimmer rims for slim tires, what would you recommend?
im using a kenda koyote 26×1.95, i use my bike to commute to work 18km and i can feel too much drag in my current tires thats why im switching to slim slick tires.
bob a is right. but I’d measure those rims. What you stated is a very wide rim. Simply measure across the rim from side to side. Most all MTB wheels will fit 1.5″ wide tires except some DH/free ride type wheels made for very wide tires.
