Mountain Bike Road Bike Combo
best hybrid bicycles?
I’m looking to buy my boyfriend a bicycle for his graduation present. He likes to do off roading as well as biking on the road. He likes to bike long distances and wants a bike that can handle pavement and dirt. I figured that hybrid would be the best since its a combo of the road and mountain bike. I have no idea what are good brands for hybrid bikes, and im looking to pay between 200-500 dollars, can anyone help?
A hybrid is a good choice. At the $200 – $500 level, all brands are about the same. Bikes that cost the same are pretty much built the same and have the same components. The business is so competitive that any two bikes at the same price point are very likely to be equivalent values. The differences among brands will be significant in how the geometry of the bike fits your BF. Take him to a few bike shops and let him try a number of bikes to find the one that fits him the best. That will be the bike that he enjoys and rides the most, regardless of the brand name on it.
