Mountain Bike Road Riding
should i invest in a road bike?
I am starting to become more involved with riding bikes and going far distances. I have a full suspension mountain bike that I have put comfort tires in for better road riding. I really don’t go mountain biking, but I am unsure due to my size a d level of riding. I am 6 foot and about 280lbs. I have been riding since may. And i go every other day about 10miles. And 20 to 25 on weekends.
You may want to look into a good performance hybrid also. A little less expensive than a pure road bike with similar handling & speed.
Full suspension bikes, even with city tires are terrible for pure riding on the streets/roads. You’ll be SHOCKED at how much faster you can go either on a road bike or performance hybrid.
