Mountain Bike Snow Chains

Bike seat post diameter?
I have a men’s Schwinn 26″ Ranger mountain bike, but someone stole my bike seat and post. (It’s quick release. I also need to get a new chain for that.)
I need to replace both, and I’ve been looking all over online for the diameter, but I’ve been unable to find it since the Ranger is apparently an older model. I’d take it to the local bike store, but it’s winter time here (pushing a bike through snow is horrible) and I’d have to take the bike on public transportation, which is a hassle.
Does anyone happen to know the seat post diameter, or does anyone know of a more accurate way which I can measure it myself (I’ve used a ruler but I’m worried it’s the wrong measurement)?
Thanks so much!
It should measure close to 26.6mm, the seat-post length was 350mm for the “micro adjust” seat-posts.
You should have no trouble finding a replacement at Target or Walmart.
25.4mm = 1 inch
