Mountain Bike Suppliers
Looking to spend 350-400 pounds on a mountain bike. One bike shop recommended ‘ Giant ‘ bikes…?
but that for that price it’s not worth having disc brakes or too much suspension. Good advice? Any other tips on good brands or suppliers would be appreciated.
Giant is a good brand, so are Specialized, Trek, etc.
About disk brakes and suspension.
It depends what you are going to use it for. The simpler the bike, the less maintenance and repairs needed. For light country rides and urban riding no suspension is really needed, the same as the disk brake.
A front suspension could be comfortable for harder or more demanding country trails or mountain bike trails riding. For that price you are not going to get the very best, but most likely, you will not needed to be. Many front suspensions now a days do a decent job for the money.
Go to a reputable bike store and get advice from a knowledgeable mechanic. Let them know what you are go int to use it for, etc. etc.
