Mountain Bike Tires Tubes
What is the best mountain bike tire?
I have a Felt Q520 and i pop innertubes like mad just riding around campus. I have the factory Felt tire on it and it seems to have a very soft sidewall. My question is if there is a tire out there with a stiffer sidewall that would better protect my tubes for stairs and such?
If you are getting flats on stairs, they are probably pinch flats caused by low inflation pressure. Stiff sidewalls won’t protect you against pinch flats, and they will have a harsh ride. Add 15-20 psi to the pressure you have been putting in your tires and the flats will happen less often. If you don’t know how much pressure you have been putting in your tires, start using a pump with a pressure gauge
