can my mountain bike leep up?
I have been into mountain biking almost all my life. But I never came aware of brands and safety until I moved to the USA. Short ago I purchased a nice looking Mongose bike, and I was told it’s more of a commercial bike and I am most likely to have an accident due to the quality of the bike. In the past I purchased bikes unaware of brands or technical stuff, and they worked really good for me, the only issues I faced was mostly with bent rims, besides flat tyres andbroken brake cables (which has nothing to do with the main frame)

Mongoose is not up there with the best, but then, not everyone is rich and not everyone needs every trick in the book! Its a good bike for getting about.
If you want something serious, durable and great to ride look at Trek, Specialised, Cannondale and Klein (amongst other good makes).
My current MTB is a Klein Attitude Race. Its superb and good value considering the very high spec’. Try one, buy it or use it as your yardstick when choosing your next bike.
