Mountain Bike Weekend Wales

Great short breaks in Wales
When your stay is only a short or weekend break, it is important to maximise your time and make the best possible use of it. Taking day trips or half day trips are the key to obtaining the best for a short break in Wales, and fortunately there are lots of suitable activities on offer.
I have listed below a selection of activities that awaits a visitor on any short breaks in Wales.
There are some country parks worth a visit, where you can try your hand at archery or clay pigeon shooting, or get in a spin on a quad bike or go-kart.
If you want to go cycling, walking or climbing around Wales, you can make the expeditions as long or as short as you like. As a hiker or rambler you will be happy at the number of trails that are waiting to be explored. You could take a short walk of a couple of miles, taking less than half a day, or spend an entire weekend camping and exploring the great outdoors.
Climbers can take one or half-day courses if they want to save time, especially with indoor centres. And at least a day can be spent around the Gower Peninsula or Snowdonia.
Fishing is quite a godd option, and you will never waste much time looking for a place to fish as there are plenty of fisheries scattered over the countryside.
You can use the evenings or half days to sample some of the culture, visit a museum or art gallery or centre for crafts, or maybe see a performance in the Wales Millenium Centre.
If you are not spending long in the country, you may prefer to stay in one of the delightful holiday cottages in Wales or a B&B. Wales has plenty of high-quality hotels if you don’t fancy catering for yourself or your family, and cosy, family-run B&Bs to give you your best choice of holidays in Wales.
