A fitness boot camp program is a form of exercise class that developed throughout the 1990s. These were popular on the west coast and gradually spread eastward to become a mainstay for most fitness facilities. The course is founded on the military basic training with drill sergeants shouting out instructions. This is so that the individuals are usually pushed harder than they might drive themselves, like weight loss camps.
The class may last from four to eight weeks, and every session may be 30 to 90 minutes long. This kind of intense workout program consists of calisthenics that works the entire body rather than one area. It provides lots of sit-ups, push-ups, jumping rope and running. Even though it is patterned after the military, the teachers do not demean people or pressure them to belly crawl beneath barbed wire, like weight loss retreat.

It is a good way to enjoy being outdoors but still get a good workout away from the gym. The grass, park benches and water bottles are all that is needed.
Occasionally the weather doesn’t permit an outdoor session. In this instance the workout could be conducted in the fitness facility exactly like you had to do in high school gym class when it rained. Here you will get quick access to weights and fitness equipment, so these may be integrated into the workout.
Probably the most inexpensive bootcamp is one that is offered via a district center or YMCA. You may be able to join the session for just one day for 10 bucks or less. A full 4 to 8 week course could cost less than 100 dollars.
On the opposite end of the financial spectrum can be a world class program that provides healthy gourmet meals, 5 star accommodations and massages at the spa. Your physician on staff analyzes your health each week and there are even cooking courses. Seasonal sports include river rafting, mountain biking, alpine skiing as well as snow shoeing.
