Mountain Bike Workout Plan

mountain bike workout plan
Would this help build up my stamina?

I’m tired of being lazy so I want to try out the Insanity workout program. Problem is, I tried 5 minutes and I was winded. I haven’t exercised in two years so I need to build up my stamina and my plan is this: biking (using a mountain bike on 2nd gear) for at least 40 minutes every morning for a week or so and then move on to 30 minutes of biking and 30 minutes of jogging every morning for about two weeks(?) and then start only jogging for at least 45 minutes every morning. I actually started the biking this morning for 50 minutes and I came home with my knees wobbling and out of breath. Would this help me get ready to start the program? Is it not enough? Oh and what type of meal should I eat before I do this? I need suggestions to help me get ready. Also, I’m going to start the nutrition plan in a couple of days with maybe a cheat meal once a week. I’m actually excited for this.

Yes, cycling is very good for improving stamina. Don’t worry. Your legs and endurance will improve with time if you stick with the exercise.

Once the season starts, most cyclists are saving every spare moment for the road.
