Mountain Bike Wrist Injury

Recovering from a finger strain injury?
I have recently been mountain biking more than i usually would do and have been using my brakes a lot, because of this i have over used my fingers and have strained my muscles between my wrist and finger bones. i have rested for 2 weeks and i am worried that i will strain it again because the muscles have been weakened, is there anything i can do to exercise or increase the strength in my fingers so i do not injure them again

1. Wrist curls
2. Reverse wrist curls
