Where can I buy a used traditional bicycle?
I have searched on the internet but all I can seem to find are mountain bikes and I’d like something more traditional, but I am a poor student so I’m on a budget! I live in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire (near London). Thanks in advance! xxxxxxx
you sound like a good girl so why not put an advert in your local supermarket, they usually have a notice board.
just say “wanted- by girl student” and then say “second hand bicycle- any condition considered”. And put your mobile no. on the card.
There are thousands of these old bikes just lying in garages and sheds all over the place.
The other thing to consider is whether your local council are big on “recycling”. They will generally have a scrap metal skip, in a compound where the public can dispose of old srap metal. There are ALWAYS bikes there, just have a word with the guy.
A quiet word with your local dustmen won’t go wrong either. They are very “resourceful” . That’s is if you are ever up that early, of course.
