With the Venezuelan government’s anti-American sentiment, is there concern for pleasure travelers?
My husband and I are drawn to Venezuela for our honeymoon – Caribbean beaches and reefs, Andes hikes and mountain biking, city fun, etc! We have been getting strange looks from friends who tell us stay away because of Chavez and anti-American sentiment. Does this apply to non-political travelers?
Don’t worry, you’ll be fine. venezuelans don’t have anything against americans or anybody else.
