What kind of Cross Country Mountain Bike?
I want to start getting into cross country mountain biking races and endurance. I am currently a road racer but would like to get into mountain biking more.
Whats the best mountain bike for XC races?? Plus im 6″4, so i use 60cm road cycling frames.
I have a price limit of around £500 and that’s on second hand or new bikes.

With your budget I’d be looking at hard-tail bikes from the big makes, Trek, Giant, Specialized, etc.
Knowing you are currently a road racer your conditioning should allow you to be competitive so any Dual Suspension bike in this price range will be a hindrance, for well conditioned racers good dual susp. bikes will cost over $2000 (U.S.).
