Mountain Biking Fundraising

Is ‘Free Mince Pious’ a good fundraising idea?
My friend Noreen and I are embarking on a lengthy charity bike ride next year for which we need some costly, state-of-the-art equipment.
Noreen thinks that a ‘Free Mince Pious’ day is a cracking idea. She intends to promote celibacy among the local LGBT community, and raise funds, by handing out mince pies in exchange for donations.
She plans to enlist her brother, Eamon, for support and while I think that the look and smell of both of them could certainly do a lot for celibacy, I disagree on principle.
How do I tell her without ruining the prospect of a nice shiny new pair of bikes (mountain and road).
My dad, as you know, is rather like a drunk Alan Bennet. I tried to explain to him but he was engaged in trying to dislodge a cream cacker from under the settee while singing sea shanties.
I tend to avoid these sort of events, having been taken in, in the past.
Back in the 80′s, I went to a ‘free Nelson Mandala’ event and left without disappointed, without any sort of mandala
