Mountain Biking Funny
I have several questions about bicycles!?
I am looking to purchase a good bike but i dont know what i want. I want it to ride to and from work which is like 3 miles. It is a paved trail to get there and i plan on making more rides to other places. There are hardly no dirt trails in my area and i dont whether to get a “road” bike or a “comfort” or a “mountain” mountain is the only one ive ever had. And ive seen how the others are mad. Oh and thre are plenty of hills to ride if that makes any difference. See im afraid to get a mountain bike because ill be on paved roads and paths. im afraid to get a hybrid cause the way they are made. im afraid to get a road because im never road them before and they look a lil funny and how ur set on the bike. and one more ? is a 700c a good size for a road bike if its the one i get im 5′ 7″! I plan on purchasing a much better bike in the future when i decide which type i want and which one feels more comfortable.

You are riding on essentially roads… so a road bike is the proper type. A comfort bike IS a type of road bike. If you like upright sitting, then a hybrid would be a good choice. It is for all intensive purposes a light weight mtn bike.
All bikes are designed around a set of wheels. Then they cut the tubes to various lengths to fit the riders sizes that will buy the bikes. So it makes no difference if you get a 650c or 700c wheel, a 26 or 28 inch wheel.
Stop worrying so much. If you like the upright sitting, get a good quality hybrid bike. They are strong, have road type gearing, and wider smooth road type tires. So it will be comfortable, fast, and able to handle all the terrain and surface conditions that you describe.
