Mountain Biking Huntington Beach
Where can I stay on a low-budget on Mt. Baldy?

Me and my friend have been planning to bike up Mount Baldy from Huntington Beach, CA, and were wondering about places to stay on the mountain. We are planning to go hiking there as well. We’re on a budget of about $125 at the most for food, and supplies, and possibly a place to stay.
Is it safe to find a place outside to lay down for the night if worst comes to worst (taking wildlife theft precaution)? Are there better alternatives such as campsites or cheap rooms in the area?

I have looked at the Mt. Baldy Lodge, but I’m afraid it’s just out of our budget, and we’re definately not going to want to stay down the mountain. Would it be safe to find a place to nuzzle down outside?
