How to Take a Three Month Bike Trip to Utah for $750
Its no secret, the mountain biking in Utah is pretty sweet. So sweet in fact, that peeople come from all over the world to ride single track trails in the wasatch mountains and slick rock trails in the rock sands of southern utah. But not get duped into spending ridiculous amounts of cash to stay for a week. Spend $750 and stay for 3 months (heck you can even work while you are here for a temp agency and come out in the black.
Heres the plan:
What you will wan tto do is find an apartment near BYU in Provo. The deal here is that each summer, in order to fill up rooms when everone takes off for home and internships, apartment managers rent out aparmtnes fo rthe whole summer for as low at $350. Seriously, three to four months of rent for $350…sick.
From Provo you will be within one hour of sweet single track trails at Sundance, mountain climbs and paths at Snowbird and Solitude, and about 2 hours from Moab, home of the famous slickrock trail.
Another secret to shrare, ride the bus. Busses can take you from Provo all the way to many of the larger ski areas. Many of these resorts like SOlitude, Deer Valley, Snowbird, and Sundance offer lift served biking so you can save your legs for a full day of riding.
