Mountain Biking Programs

I have a Canon AE-1 Program, how do i use it? How do i put the film in? what film does it use?
i traded an old dirty mountain bike for the camera in excellent condition. what kind of film does it use? Is it a good camera? my mountain bike was worth 12 dollars? did i get ripped off or is the camera worth 12 bucks?
$12 for an AE-1 program?, sounds like a great deal to me!. I am guessing it came with a 50mm f/1.8 lens?.
I really like this camera, and if you are just learning to use a camera then it is a great camera to learn on. You will need to use 35mm film, any film will do, but I will recommend using Ilford HP5 400 plus at first (if you wish to shoot B&W that is). It is what you might call a ‘forgiving’ film, which means that even if your exposures are a little off, the images will still be usable.
I recommend that you have a look on eBay for new lenses.. You will need to look for FD fit Canon lenses (EOS will not fit this camera) and you can get some bargains if you look around (I recently got a Vivitar 200mm f/3.5 and a Vivitar 2x converter for £1 each!).
For your first couple of rolls of film buy some cheap film, here is a PDF of the manual if you do not already have it..

Practice and enjoy this camera, and if you feel you want to upgrade in the future look to a Canon A-1 (my favourite Canon SLR).
