Mountain Biking Queensland

Where is a good place in East Australia where you can live close to surf mountain bike and snowboarding areas?
Are there any places on the Queensland coast or somewhere that’s warm and well populated. I believe the main mountains for Snowboarding are between Victoria and New South Wales but are there any places nearer the coast and further North? Thanks
Hi Alex. I live near Melbourne in Victoria and the snowfields are only in Victoria and southern New South Wales. Anything higher north than that is too warm for snow. Its really good in Melbourne as from the city centre you have access to Port Phillip Bay in 5 minute drive, surf beaches in around an hour’s drive and snow about 2 hours drive. I’d suggest coming over and deciding where you want to be after you’ ve been here a while. I’m on the Mornington Peninsula which is sooo beautiful and only an hour south of the city centre and 5 minute drive to surf beaches and 2 hours to snowfields. The weather here gets down to around 10 degrees celsius in winter (at its coldest peak) but is generally 13 to 15 over winter and in summer can get up to an extreme 46 degrees celsius so you have the warmer weather here too as you do in Queensland but you get the variety which locals love. And also we use Queensland as our winter holiday destination for family holidays.
