Santa Cruz Mountain Bike Blur

santa cruz mountain bike blur
Which other Mountain Bike is comparable to the “Santa Cruz Blur LT”?

I am looking to purchase a new mountain bike for the spring, but I don’t want tom pay $3500 for the Santa Cruz Blur LT….I think I am moderate to experienced bike rider and have rode bike for two years…I currently own a Specialized Hard Rock, but I want to upgrade…help!!

That is a high end XC/Trail bike. There are lots of Trail/XC bikes. Are you looking for something too race competitively, or something that serves the general purpose as the blur for recreational purposes? How Much Do you want to spend?

Giant has the Trance X3 for trail riding (1500), or the Anthem 4 if you plan on racing (2000). Iron horse and Jamis have some good deals on trail bikes. With clearance sales, you might find deals for about $600-ish on a 08 Jamis XC, or a Warrior 4, but those are on the heavy side if you plan on racing. Ibex and Sette both make bikes that they claim are race worthy and have good component lineups for under $1500, but you would have to be brave enough to buy the bike on the Internet without test riding it. http://www.pricepoint.com/detail.htm?stylePkey=18722 http://www.ibexbikes.com/Bikes/ASTA-COMP-SLX-Details.html

At the end of the day, there are lots of good XC/trail bikes. You may find other deals on great bikes. I’m just trying to give you some ideas. Whether you plan on trying to win races, being in some races for fun, or just riding trails on the weekends will dictates how much you need to spend.
