Shimano Mountain Bike Cranksets
What does the sizes like 170mm or 175mm mean on cranksets?
Im looking on amazon for a new 3 speed crankset because mine is messed up, but I am confused when it means things like
SHIMANO OCTALINK FC-M443 175mm 175 mm 22/32/44t Crankset triple mountain bike bicycle crank alloy
or
FSA ALPHA DRIVE 165mm 22/32/44t Mt Bike Crankset
does it matter what it means?
My bike is a Huffy Savannah Hybrid 26″
That it the length of the crank arm from the center of the bottom bracket hole to the center of the pedal hole. The 175 mm is standard on mountain and comfort bikes. Shorter arms are used on smaller frame bikes and longer for larger framed bikes and taller people.
