Shimano waterproof seal?
I just got a pair of Shimano mountain bike shoes. They come with “waterproof seals” that are supposed to go underneath the sockliner and over the SPD cleat–is it necessary to put them on the shoe if I’m using the shoes for indoor cycling? It seems that if I put them on, it would be difficult to adjust the SPD cleat. Thanks.
Never heard of waterproof seals on a mountain bike shoe. They need to be vented to keep your feet cool. That alone will allow your feet to get wet. There is a liner inside the shoe that covers the plate for the clips. The cover on the bottom of the shoe gets removed and thrown away when you install the clips..
