Bicycle lights, how to make it turn on while I pedal?

I want to install car head lightsand rear lights to my mountain bike, it’s a Gary Fisher. I have the front bicycle light from the local bike store, but it’s not enough light if i want to ride on a busy road during the dark hours.
How could hook up these lights on my bike, so when spring comes I can ride during dark hours?

if you have any sites that had diagrams to show me or something on youtube or ehow or sumthing

or
describe it the best you can

like most equipment, you get what you pay for. there are very good lights out there, but they arent cheap. the rechargable systems use battery packs that fit in your waterbottle holders and are bright enough to do what you want. they come with instructions to mount them, but they will cost you. i commute some when the whether is warm. i ride into work at 4am. i spent 150.00 on a good set of lights, but if you are going to do this, do it right.
