What are your experiences riding a bike?
I’m doing a research project on the trend of Urban Transportation or rather the activity of riding a bike to work, or school, or out to eat. Using the act of bike riding as transportation rather than for leisure.
So if you ride your bike to work, or to school, or from here to there as a form of transport, I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!
Why do you choose to ride your bicycle as a form of transportation? Is it a concious decision or was it more of a forced decision?
What are your experiences on your commutes or trips?
What area do you live in and what is the geographical layout of your town?
What, if anything would you like to get for your bike to make your commute smoother?
What kind of bike do you have? Brand? Road, Mountain, Fixie?

–i do it for exercise, i don;t like polluting the planet, i like conserving my car, i like having another way to get around if the car breaks, and i like riding a bike

usually it;s just go, get there, and come back, no ‘experiences’

–atlanta / zip 30341
there are some rolling hills around here for sure
there are lots of suburban streets to ride in my location
usually a lot of back roads you can take
if not i just get on peachtree
all the streets are called ‘peachtree’ 
there aren;t a lot of bike lanes that really go anywhere useful
you can also take the bike on the local commuter train MARTA
and their buses have bike racks
usually a bike is just about as fast though
it can be a useful ‘bailout’ in case of problems, weather

–Road, racing style frame, skinny tires

i do a lot more ‘transportation riding’ than i do ‘sport riding’
though i frequently go ‘the really long way’ to ride more
==i also believe in helmet mirrors if you are going to be in traffic
==i do not believe in brakeless gearless bikes for any practical use
