Eric RansomPro Mountain Bike, Cat 1 Road

 Eric in Action

Eric grew up in Boise, Idaho and at a young age became acquainted with competitive sports through participation in local fun runs. Later, he played soccer, and took up slalom and free style ski racing. At age 13, after years of riding his bike in the foothills and around Boise, he entered his first mountain bike XC event, the first of many to come. In 2002, at the age of 18, Eric earned his Cat 1 license and in 2004 earned his Pro mountain bike license.

Eric attended Fort Lewis College (FLC) in Durango Colorado where he was a member of the varsity cycling team. He took part in NCAA Collegiate National events as a member of the mountain bike and cyclocross teams, and helped FLC bring home four Division I National Championship Team Omniums in MTB and Cyclocross.

Currently he resides in Pleasanton, California and is aggressively pursing his dream occupation as a Professional Bike Racer. Year in and year out Eric continues to have outstanding performances both on the road and in the dirt. He has made the adjustment to the intense pace of racing with the sports elites and remains focused on developing his cycling abilities to they’re fullest. His interests outside of cycling include backcountry skiing, photography, kayaking, backpacking, and fly-fishing.
