Stacey grew up in the coastal community of Florence, Oregon. In Junior High, volleyball and basketball were hobbies that quickly turned sport. She later attended Colorado College where she competed as a dual sport athlete and earned a BA in Biology. Stacey furthered her education with a Masters in Physical Therapy from University of Utah and is currently a Physical Therapist specializing in outpatient orthopedics in Boise Idaho.
Introduction to mountain biking came a mere; seventeen years ago when on a borrowed bike in Crested Butte, Colorado she became hooked. In 1992 she bought her first bike however it wasn’t until 1998 the bike was to have front suspension! Always looking forward, Stacey has improved rapidly the past six years of racing. Early in her racing career she competed as an Expert and quickly made the jump to Pro where she continues to mix it up on the national scene with the top women in the sport.
