Trek Mountain Bike Closeouts
Need help deciding between 2 mountain bikes.?
I am in the market for a new full suspension all mountain bike. Recently, I have been trying to decide between two bikes.
1) Trek Remedy 7 (Last year’s model and on closeout)
2) Transition Covert with Hammerschmidt (Lightly used but in good condition)
If anyone has ridden either of these or better yet, ridden both of them and could give me their opinion, that would be great.

Well, the crank will be the deciding factor.
Most people either love or hate the Hammerschmidt. Personally I think the crank is a $1000 piece of crap, but I generally shy away from Trek when I can help it.
If you can, I recommend taking an extrended ride in the area where you will be riding on both bikes, or if you have never ridden a bike with a ‘schmidt it would be a, er, learning experience that will be valuable in your decision.
